Ann Shirley Sheeley is a well known name among lawyers and clients. She has extensive knowledge in the legal field having served as Associate Attorney and Managing Attorney in several law firms in the past. As regarding her educational background is concerned, she completed her B.A in English and Political Science from University of Albany between 1979 and 1983. Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in the year 1987.
As mentioned above, it was due to her association with a number of well known names in the field of law in the Rhode Island area that acted as a springboard for her and her career. It was these opportunities that shaped and molded her career in the law field. Although, she studies in the United States, she also spent some time in United Kingdom (London) when she served as an intern while working with British Member of Parliament David Penhaligon. Here she gathered extensive knowledge in research, constituency work, and in the preparation of budgets that were presented before the House of Commons. Also, when she was in London, often she participated in Moot court competitions where she won while she was studying. She was awarded the Best Oralist Award.
She worked for law offices of J.Ronald Fishbein where she was entrusted with the responsibility of handling lawsuits related to personal injury laws, family law cases, contracts, and a wide array of civil suits. She stayed with this firm for a period of 2 years after which she joined law offices of Robert T Karns, which is located in Providence and Middletown in Rhode Island. Here she worked for a period of 8 years and she gathered invaluable knowledge in dealing with pleadings, motion and trial cases, and civil proceedings.
